Studied with Mila Pignero Orlando at the “P. Mascagni” Music Academy (i.e. National Conservatoire) of Livorno, her hometown, where she brilliantly graduated in 1987 in the class of Liana De Botton Gragnani. 
From 1985 to 1987 she attended also the Summer Masterclasses of Piano Interpetation held  by Michele Marvulli at the "Accademia Musicale Pescarese". Later,  she specialized with Hector Daniel Rivera and Giampiero Semeraro in solo repertoire and  with the 'cellist Giovanni Bacchelli in chamber music,.
In 1991 she has distinguished herself at the Seminary of Musical Analysis held by  Piero Rattalino at the Piano Academy  “Meetings with the Master” of Imola (BO), where she finally attended  masterclasses by Aldo Ciccolini, Rosalyn Tureck, Jorge Demus, Boris Petrushansky etc. 
After having obtained her Scientific high school degree at 17, she enrolled at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, Department of Musical Studies - D.A.M.S., University of Bologna.

Very young, she participated  succesfully  in many national and international competitions, obtaining great results: 1° Prize in “P. Napoli” Trophy of Livorno in 1982, 3° Prize in  “Cittą di Albenga” Contest in 1982, 2° Prize in “Cittą di Genova” Contest in 1986 e 1989, 2° Prize in “Cittą di Velletri” Competition in 1989. She won the "Concert-Prize" in the “Young concertists” show of Busto Arsizio (VA), organized by the Quartet Society in 1990-91.
She was awarded the “Gino Consani” Prize as distinguished young artist of her hometown Livorno. Admitted to the International Competition “City of Cantł” for piano and orchestra.
She won the open competition organized by the Italian "Ministry of Education, Universities and Research" for the assignment of  Chairs of Piano in Italian National Conservatories of Music  (italian law: D. M. July 18, 1990).

Since 1982 she is carrying out an intense concert activity being appreciated as a  soloist, in duo with flute or piano duo (piano four-hands), as a soloist with orchestra, "Maestro sostituto" and choir director, both in Italy (Livorno, Cecina, Piombino, Portoferraio - Isola d’Elba, Firenze, Ponsacco, Genova, Verona, Amalfi, Forio of Ischia, etc.) and abroad (Belgium: Braine-l’Alleud, Tournai, Bruxelles).
Member of "Aulos - Italian Academy of woodwinds", she carried out, in its group of research, the card indexing of thousands of opera librettos,  later published  in “Quaderni della Labronica”. She also wrote the programme notes for most of the concerts of the Musical Season of C.E.L.  "Estate Livornese" committee.
From 1990 to 1994, author and conductor of the radio program “Classic from A to Z” broadcasted by Radio Livorno "Open City". 
Beside carrying out her concert activity, she is also active as a researcher, musicologist and critic, holding conferences and concert-lessons on piano and music repertoire as a whole, from Bach to modern music.


From 1986 to 1991 she has been teaching  at the Music Institute “R. Del Corona” of Piombino (LI). From 1991 to 1994 she has been Professor and vice-President of the Music Institute “Antonio Bacchelli” s.c.r.l. in Livorno. Between 1994 and 1998, Adjunct Professor at the ’Istituto Magistrale" (High School for teachers training) "T. Pate” and at the Music Academy  “G. Puccini” of Gallarate (VA).
Tenured Professor of soloist Piano since 1998 in Italian National Conservatories, she has been also teaching, since 2003, the following subjects:  "Performance practice and solo repertoire", "Performance practice and repertoire with orchestra", "Performance practice and didactic repertoire", "History of Piano Literature", "Organology of the Piano", "Psychophisiology of Piano performance", "Methodology of instrumental teaching", "Analysis of Compositional forms",  "Piano accompaniment", "Practice of Piano accompaniment for Singers".

All along her didactic career as Piano Professor she has been teaching at “A. Scontrino” Conservatoire of Trapani, “C. G. da Venosa” Conservatoire of Potenza,  “G. F. Ghedini” Conservatoire of Cuneo, “A. Buzzolla” Conservatoire of Adria (RO),  “G. Puccini” Conservatoire of La Spezia,  “G. B. Pergolesi” Conservatoire of Fermo and  “G. Rossini” Conservatoire of Pesaro (the hometown of Rossini). In addition to her activity of Professor she has been appointed Concert Organizer and Department Chair for keyboard instruments.
Since 2014 she plays in the Duo Diabelli with the Italian guitarist  Giuseppe Maria Ficara.
